Part of what allowed the seperate tribes to agree to Shajk's plan of unification was that they would all surrender their powers and take-up more civil service duties, rather than being army commanders. This allowed the leaders to create the first National Assembly. In this assembly the reigning monarch was expected to moderate and give every member the same amount of time to put forth and pass laws. The Monarch himself was not able to create and pass laws, however he has suggested many laws be passed.

The Kingdom of Lewdies (Govorit: Rolevsto rwol lyundi) is a relatively long nation spanning just over 5,000 km from it's southern most part to it's most northerly territory. The nation is believed to have been unified on October 12, 1431 when Kuryi Shajk unified all warring factions into what is now known as the Kingdom of Lewdies. The nation's northern tip borders the Gulf of Krovvy and has 586 lakes. Lewdies has a very large population density because of the unexpected baby boom that the government has been fighting to control. The Southern Provinces are relatively free from the rapid expansion of the large metropolises where 90% of the population lives.

History

Lewdies’ unification is believed to have started in 1257. There are many conflicting reports as to when the specific unification began, however, 1431 is the believed date as to when the country was fully unified under one monarch, King Kuryi Shajk.

There is much debate as to when unification started because of stability of the region and the fact that the majority of treaties signed were rarely fully honoured. Many historians have claimed that it was King Kuryi Shajk’s distant grandfather, Thil Shajk, that started the unification process.
