Overview

The purpose of the Xixan Weather Service (XWS) is to provide updated information on storms that directly affect transportation networks connecting Xixan to the region at large. XWS uses the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale.

Windspeeds: 74-118 km/h (46mph-74mph)
Category 1   hurricane
Windspeeds: 119–153 km/h (74–95 mph)

Windspeeds: 154–177 km/h (96–110 mph)
Category 3   hurricane
Windspeeds: 178–209 km/h (111–130 mph)
Category 4   hurricane
Windspeeds: 210–249 km/h (131–155 mph)
Category 5   hurricane
Windspeeds: ≥250 km/h (≥156 mph)
