The General Forum is where NationStates players discuss real world issues such as fringe politics, national elections, religion, music and other out of character interests. A lot of very heated political debates take place in General. Flaming and trolling occur more often here than in the In Character forums. This is due to the extremely controversial nature of some of the topics. However, the breadth of contentious opinions permitted in this forum is rarely found anywhere else on the Internet, and has given rise to a unique Generalite culture.
