Torino is a wonderful region. Torino is an average sized region with many active members, and a small kingdom with 3 colonies. It is a wintery paradise filled with many things to do. Torino is a constitutional monarchy however democracy still lives in Torino. Founded on the first of July two-thousand and six (1 July 2006) it became a large region filled with many activies. The region has its own forum in there is a Parliament, media center, and much much more. It is mostly popular for its mountains. Today Torino is on the verge of a new begining in which it plans to have a strong empire and a population of 200 by 2008.

Torino was formerly founded by the nation of Federal Austria in whom he would be known as [[New Canada City]] in the future. When USC tried to enter the [[FCSTO]] it was rejected by a majority. Federal Austria however was granted an embassy by [[FCS]] and [[FCSTO]].When It was granted an embassy under the name United States Commonwealth it was a small protectorate with a population of only 2. Months later this region would be more powerful and more populated.

This is a brief history of Torino for more further details see [[The History of Torino]] in NSWiki. Torino was founded on July 1st 2006, the day it declared independence. During that time Torino was a small region of several active members. The founder, New Canada City, wanted to rebuild Torino in the aftermath of declaring independence. NCC began to recruit, he wasn't quite successful. Then he decided to negotiate with this region called Santa Ana and its empress, Santa Francisca.

New Canada City encouraged her to come to Torino for the best and promised her a senior job in the governemnt. She agreed and today is third ranked as Supreme Chancellor of Torino. When she was made Supreme Chancellor, immediately the people fell in love with her. She was considered by many "The People's Empress" or "The People's window to the Monarchy". She is also the most politically powered head of state. The Supreme Chancellor presides over the House of Commons, Torino's Lower House of Parliament where all members have a seat. She is now also the Foreign Minister of Torino and Delegate of Torino.

On March 2006 things started to take a turn for the worst in USC when populations started to fall and protectorates were starting to leave. Federal Austria decided to dissolve [[United States Commonwealth]] for good and create a fresh new start. Federal Austria decided to choose one of his protectorates to start a new and more glorious region that will have its own empire. During this time the Olympics had just ended. A few weeks later he choose Torino. When he entered Torino he saw that it was a waist. First, the matter of population with a small population of 2 inactive members and puppet as a founder Federal Austria decided that things needed to change for the good. And so he began to recontruct Torino from scracth.

He was hailed by many as "Torino's First General" when he helped enlist members to the army. Along with helping make an army he also helped recruit new members to the region. The region later grew to a huge population of 25 members where it remains today. He also recruited a region that became Torino's first and most prized colony, Isle De Foxcollar. To reward him for his deeds, NCC knighted him as Vice President and later Prince of the Isle, and heir to the thrown. Today he is second in command in the armed forces and the monarchy. He is also the defense minister.

On July 27th, Torino was once again hit with much more good news. They have now elected their first Prime Minister. He was elected by 1 vote and was considered a "Dark Horse" in the exit polls. His name was Corporate Ninjas. Corporate Ninjas, a hardworking politician was inagurated as prime minister August 3rd, 2006. He works hard as prime minister to keep peace in Torino, however is ready to fight for the people when their rights are threatened. His term has just began so there is not much to say about him. But many say that he will be the best Prime Minister for the job.

When Federal Austria changed his name to [[New Canada City]], he decided to merge all remaining protectorates with one region: Torino. He decided to refound the region under the new nation. When it was being refounded it was taken over for the time being by by [[Turin Piedomine]]. NCC made a treaty giving them the Turin in exchange for the region Torino. They evacuated quickly and NCC began to rebuild Torino. However things did not get any brighter with that deal. He was now the founder of region however now it was just him. When he refounded Torino he ejected the members that were inactive and now he had to recruit members. Between April and May 2006 Torino's population only grew 1 nation whom would later cease to exist. This period became known as the "Torino Depression" a series of months in which Torino seemed to fail at every chance. Little did New Canada City know what would take place later in the future.

The Empire of Torino is a small kingdom with only three colonies: Brussels, Niagara Falls, and Isle de Foxcollar. One of the most prized of them is Isle de Foxcollar. It was founded by Prince Foxcollar. It is currently populated with several members and is on the verge of establishing a government itself.

All colonies of Torino will have a Governor. The governor is elected by their people. They will also have an Empress and Emperor. The Empress would be the Supreme Chancellor. The Emperor would be New Canada City. The Empress has more power and is considered "Queen of the Commonwealths".

On May 2006 NCC once again came to [[FCSTO]] to request statehood. By a landside Torino entered as a state. However things started to take a turn for the worse starting immediately. The Prime Minister of FCSTO had detected that Torino was majority a puppet region. NCC urged that he would recruit however he did not know what to do and left the job for [[Mrs Carrothead]] for recruiting. From then on Torino's population hit over 20 nations, the highest in Torino's history. Afterwards things started to get brighter and brighter with Torino. Torino became one of the most active regions in the union. Election were about to be called and a constitution was being drafted. However after 2 weeks since statehood things began to break apart. This time the issue was power and positions. From then on things started to take a turn for the worst.

Today there is a dispute on how to exend the empire. NCC and other believe through invasion of weak regions they will build an empire. NCC believes in the "Conquest Theory" in which it states that if you conquer a region, the recuitment will go much faster. While others including the Prime Minister believe it should be founded from scratch. However it may go they all agree that the empire will be extended.

A few days after being instated as a member of the FCSTO. Secratary-General [[The Planet Federation]] detected that majority or all of the members were puppets or inactive members in Torino. As a response TPF had ordered [[New Canada City]] to recruit members to the region or face that Torino is removed from the FCSTO. [[New Canada City]] was having difficulty recruiting and he asked for helpers and more time to recruit for him. [[Birmingham]] on of Torino's strongest allies sent two of their finest: [[mrscarrothead]] and [[contradicory_Views]]. Both of them and NCC help give the region Forum an extreme makeover and helped recruit as many as 19 or 21 members to the region. TPF was pleased...for now.

After nearly a week of recruiting another scandel had rocked Torino, conserning not only the region but [[New Canada City]]. The Planet Federation critized NCC for lying to the public about Torino's condition prior to is statehood. As punishment TPF had removed [[New Canada City]] from power with an act. NCC had pleded for him to reconsidered and TPF instead left his official fate to the Upper House of the [[FCSTO Parliament]]. NCC, a member himself gave a final plea to the people of the Senate and majority of them voted to keep him in power. However TPF and the Senate warned him not to do such a thing again. NCC's popularity later fell deeper and deeper after that scandel.

After two weeks since his approval to remain in office. NCC's true identity was revielled. NCC so happened to a volunteer of the [[Falkland Islands invasion]]. He admitted at first to TPF and he later placed NCC before the [[FCSTO Operations Committee]] or FOC. NCC was this time banned from making his plea. After a two week deliberation they came to a discission that he would have to resign and have is voting rights suspended for 60 days. He pleded for a less harsh punishment but they refused. He went to the [[FCSTO Supreme Court]] which have not taken his charges. NCC decided to do the unthinkable.

Two days after the discision NCC makes public that he planned to leave [[FCSTO]] and take Torino with him. He was met with huge opposition and hatred twords him. At first he had came to terms but for an unknown reason he went right back to leaving the FCSTO. The issue was later placed to the [[FCSTO Parliament]] by order of the [[FCSTO Supreme Court]]. But even before they could even finish the vote, NCC declared Torino independent. FCSTO ordered that people who wanted to leave for FCSTO ground do so before it is too late. Torino was left in shambles after an air raid by FCSTO. When Torino left the union July 1, 2006 it began to lose members every day for 5 days. The population dropped from 21 members to 14 in 5 days and majority of those memebers that stayed were inactive. New Canada City was then determined to make things better. He wanted to prove Torinians that things will get better in the future.

A week after declaring independence Torino began to recruit members to the region. He tried to recruit as many people as possible he gained a couple of active members to the union. He then decided to try his luck in inactive region that wanted to join. He spotted his eyes on the region of Santa Ana. A former FCS protectorate, the region was only a population of 1. The only person that lived there was the founder, Santa Francisca. Santa Francisca became interested in joining a week after advertizing. Today Santa Francisca is now one of the most powerful heads of state in Torino. She is currently the Supreme Chancellor of Torino or third in command. New Canada City and SF's friendship day by day got better and it seemed that together they would accomplish a lot. Then another miracle would take place a couple of weeks later in which another person whom would shake Torino to its foundation and became one of the best recruiters since mrscarrothead.

Two weeks after leaving [[FCSTO]] a member by the name of [[Foxcollar]] came to Torino and helped recruit members. He helped rise the population from 10 to 25. A record in Torino history. With that they now began to establish a friendship with [[Isle de Foxcollar]]. Today Foxcollar is the Vice President of Torino, second in charge of Torino.
