Torino is a constitutional monarchy however democracy still lives in Torino. The region has its own forum in there is a Parliament, media center,flag, regional anthem and much much more. It is mostly popular for its mountains. −	On July 27th, Torino was once again hit with much more good news. They have now elected their first Prime Minister. He was elected by 1 vote and was considered a "Dark Horse" in the exit polls. His name was Corporate Ninjas. Corporate Ninjas, a hardworking politician was inagurated as prime minister August 3rd, 2006. He works hard as prime minister to keep peace in Torino, however is ready to fight for the people when their rights are threatened. His term has just began so there is not much to say about him. But many say that he will be the best Prime Minister for the job.

		+	Torino's President at the time, Omnia Americana, indicted Fuzzlewents with treason under the (old) Constitution of Torino on November 21. The infamous invasion of Germania by the Non Aligned States Army, of which Fuzzlewents was a part of, Omnia Americana alleged to have damaged Torino's world standing and compromised its security. Controversially, the President allowed the Vice-President and UN delegate; Euphobes, to judge the trial. It began with Omnia Americana, president of Torino and chief prosecutor presenting the case for the prosecution. The charge is that Fuzzlewents invaded a region without permission, which potentially endangers the security of Torino. He has been charged with treason for violating the chain of command. As Exhibit A, Omnia Americana produced three extracts which he claimed Fuzzlewents had maliciously disregarded in his action. These extracts were:

This statement was intended to demonstrate that Fuzzlewents was involved in military action with an army that was not Torino's. Omnia Americana presented it as proof that Fuzzlewents had usurped the authority of the Minister of Defence and the Senate by this unauthorised action. Greater Tirana's statement, which was presented to the court, was:

The Torino Criminal Justice judges cases where a breach of the law is alleged to have been committed by a nation and the case is not fit for the Constiutional court to hear. Serious cases or those involving a high-ranked official are to be heard by the Chief Justices instead.

• Chief Justices - OneBZay, Kinonita, Contradictory Views

These are the most powerful and important justices in the region and form the Court of Appeal. Any case that is of concern to the region, for example treason charges, is to be presided over by a Chief Justice. The Chief Justices break any ties in the Senate votes and are able to veto laws passed by the Senate if they are unconstitutional or otherwise deemed to be "inappropriate".

Cases throughout Torino History

1. The Region V Fuzzlewents

Charge: treason

Verdict: not guilty

Torino's President at the time, Omnia Americana, indicted Fuzzlewents with treason under the (old) Constitution of Torino on November 21. The infamous invasion of Germania by the Non Aligned States Army, of which Fuzzlewents was a part of, Omnia Americana alleged to have damaged Torino's world standing and compromised its security. Controversially, the President allowed the Vice-President and UN delegate; Euphobes, to judge the trial. It began with Omnia Americana, president of Torino and chief prosecutor presenting the case for the prosecution. The charge is that Fuzzlewents invaded a region without permission, which potentially endangers the security of Torino. He has been charged with treason for violating the chain of command. As Exhibit A, Omnia Americana produced three extracts which he claimed Fuzzlewents had maliciously disregarded in his action. These extracts were:

1.The President has right to propose declarations of war to the Senate.

2.The Defence Minister leads the Army but he/she can't declare war.

3.The Senate passes constitutional amendments, declarations of wars by 75% of the votes.

Omnia claimed that these demonstrated the fact that Fuzzlewents had usurped the Senatorial authority to declare war with malice aforethought, thus placing Torino in a precarious situation. These actions were alleged to have dented Torino's security. Next, he presented the court with a statement from Greater Tirana, the founder of the Non Aligned States and holder of the Torino founder at the time. This statement was intended to demonstrate that Fuzzlewents was involved in military action with an army that was not Torino's. Omnia Americana presented it as proof that Fuzzlewents had usurped the authority of the Minister of Defence and the Senate by this unauthorised action. Greater Tirana's statement, which was presented to the court, was:

Fuzzlewents is not an invader far from it, he was assisting a team from the NAS in military manoveurs, the team did not invade Germania it was instructed to hold the delegacy for one day then retreat back to its training camp. The situation now is that real invaders have just entered the region and the team leader is in the process of negotiating with the old delegate how best they can be defeated and ejected.

Furthermore, some statements from Kinonita were produced for the court to strengthen the case, as well as an exchange between Omnia Americana and Kinonita, who was then the Non Aligned States ambassador. These statements later became very controversial when Kinonita stepped in as the Defence counsel, but formed part of the inital case:

Only Fuzzlewents was involved in the mission on the Torino side, perhaps that explains any suspicious activity you may have thought he was involved in. I cannot give any more information concerning this development until I have it myself. However I am concerned with this piece of information myself.

Omnia Americana: Kinonita, is it true that NAS invaded the region "Germania" and ousted the native delegate, for the purposes of training?

Kinonita: It is true that the NAS army are currently on a training mission that included members of the Torino Army under my orders as President. It was a NARDDO-wide mission. However, I cannot give any more information until I have that information myself. I will discuss the matter more fully with you when I have discussed it with the NAS Defence Minister.

Lastly, the prosecution decided to give some proof that Fuzzlewents was subject to the Torino chain of command and had to act accordingly.

The prosecution were pressing for the maximum sentence and had laid out a case that Fuzzlewents had gone on unauthorised military action and in doing so had endangered the security of the region. Under regional law at the time, a conviction could be punished by permenant exile from Torino.

The People's Reformist Movement of Torino (PRM)

The People's Reformist Movement of Torino was founded as an opposition to the ruling TPP soon after the December 2006 Presidential Election after large public discontent with how Aramatherius had appointed his cabinet (that was, by filling it with people from his own party, claiming it was to involve new nations rather than using people with experience and decent levels of activity) with the ultimate goal to try and make Torino fairer. It seeks to get as many nations as possible involved in the government while allowing the most able members of the region to use their full potential. Ideas such as forcing or allowing coaltion governments to be formed have been discussed, although strong opposition is expected for many such policies from the PRM.

The Torino Progressive Party (TPP)

The TPP was set up in response to the Conservative Party being the only party in Torino at that time. It has its roots in the NTP (New Torino Party) and the ASP (Aramatherium Supremacy Party). These two parties were conceived around the same time and realised the need for unity.

After some behind the scenes meetings and discussions the TPP was born.

Party Structure

• Party Leader - Victoakley

As Party Leader, Victoakley controls the recruitment, aided by Deputy Leader. He is responsible for Senior member taskings and is the official point of contact with any opposition parties.

• Political Leader - Aramatherius

As political Leader, Aramatherius is responsible for controlling political arguments with the opposition, he submits proposals to the Senate when finalised by the TPP. He also stands for Presidential Elections and decides on the party political heading.

• Deputy Leader - Moosewood Maple

As Deputy Leader, Moosewood Maple aids with recruiting. He also stands in as leader (either political or party) when a continued absence has been declared by the holder of that position.

These three positions also act as the Executive Committee of the TPP. Any major changes or decisions that need to be made, when there isn't time to put together a full party vote, will be made by the Executive Committee.

• Chief Whip - Ingelby

As Chief Whip, Ingelby ensures that the rank and file (RaF) members are active.He is also responsible for the RaF members voting how and when required.This position is answerable to the Executive Committee only.
