Waifland II was founded in 1877 on the wreckage of the original Waifland. The citizens of the time felt that the devastation was so severe that the original Waifland should be put to rest. Unfortuneatly, they were astoundingly unoriginal in the naming of the new government. The capital was rebuilt in the exact same location, under the creative name of New Waifsville. The currency stayed the Peaquad. The only real difference anyone noticed, was the motto went from “So What?” to the more direct “Huh?”
Waifland II sits on a midsized South Pacific island. Normally, the weather is bucolic in the extreme. The agate sea only occasionally ruffled by ship or storm. Sheep, almost exclusively black, graze in the broad meadows of the island. Pearl divers fill the bay, harvesting Waifland II’s only export, the famous Waifland Blue Pearls.
