The IPCS is an acronym standing for Imperial Planetary Classification System, created for use in the Great Star Empire of Allech-Atreus. The system designates each planet in the Empire according to population, industrial/agricultural capacity, and main productions.
The IPCS is administered by the Directorate of the Interior, which is also responsible for the Imperial Census. For a planet to recieve a classification, it must have at least two major population centers, a minimally functioning economy, and a minimal amount of trade. Any planet that does not meet criterion is considered a colont world and is not included in the Imperial Census.
