The Buddhist Council of Niploma is an unincorporated association founded in 1971 with the following aims:

  1. To protect Buddhists from harm and prejudice
  2. To enlighten others on Buddhism and Dharma
  3. To strengthen inter-Buddhist relations
  4. End discrimination of not just Buddhism but all religions
  5. Ensure all Buddhists in Niploma have a platform to represent them

The Buddhist Council of Niploma is split into several levels. At the bottom are the monastries and Buddhist places of worship. Regardless of school all are involved. Each monastry and place of worship elects a Delegate to join the Council.
