Categories of Government Styles are available when a player creates a nation. These do influence UN categories and the initial settings for the descriptors of Civil Rights, Economy, and Political Freedoms. However, they do not directly impact the nation's description.

  • Sensible - no change - no change
  • Liberal - no change - enhances Civil Rights
  • Conservative - decreases personal freedom and increases political freedom - suppresses Civil Rights
  • Compassionate - decreases personal freedom and increases political freedom - suppresses Civil Rights
  • Oppressive - decreases personal freedom - suppresses Civil Rights
