Skitsoism is the religion of the native people of the Nation of Skitsojd. It is often reffered to as the Native Religion of Skitsoians. It is based on the ancient idea of three gods that ruled the world from their Palace high atop the Dyrdinian Moutains of North-Western Skitsojd. The Palace was called Kitiao (Pronounced Ki-ta-o). It was said to be the most magnificent of all Palaces in the known world. Many intrepid explorers have lost their lives trying to look for it in those dangerous moutains.

Basic Beliefs

The Basic Beliefs of Skitsoism is centered around the idea that the 3 gods were Almighty and very giving. These gods were powerful beyond belief. They could change the weather and the earth with a flick of their wrists. Many sailors and farmers pray to them for good luck. They also believe the Golden Rule that almost all religions teach. "Do unto others as you would do unto them". They also believe in a place called Gedas (Pronounced: Gee-Da-As) or Hell. It is where only the truly wicked go. People like common theives won't go there. They will go to a place Ynas (Pro: E-nas)or Purgatory. Only the truly good and gracious arrive at Kitiao or Heaven.

The Gods

The three gods were called Jadaia(Pronounced: Ji-Dai-a), Scita (Pronounced:Ski-ta), and Krata (Pronounced: Kra-Ta). Each of the gods ruled the world together. They each took a turn every year to rule the Earth to rule themselves. So every 4 years there is a time when all the gods are ruling. Bad harvests and years are blamed on a gods neglect or even there caring. This has lead to quite minority following in recent years.

Jadaia

Jadaia was a maginificent goddess. Many who have seen her beauty have said that she is the most could tame a tiger with just he beauty alone. Known to the people as the most caring of the gods. The people praise her almost constantly. During the time she is in power many good things happen. Bad luck is reversed and good luck runs rampant.

Scita

Big, huge, and powerful god. He is known to look like a common person, but only much larger. He may be big but he has a heart of tainted gold. He is kind, but he isn't as kind as Jadaia. When he is power, great acts of heroism are bound to occur. Praised and loved by the Soldiers.

Krata

Krata is a tiny and kineving god. He is known to look like an old hermit who lives in the hills. When he is in power bad things happen more often. But he is still known to do some good. When he is in power, great Generals and Leaders are born. The current Chancellor of Skitsojd was born during one of his years. He is praised and loved by the common theif and by the Business men.

Holy Scripture

The Holy Book of Skitsoism is a book called the Gynadab(Pro: N/A). The book tells us of the story of how the world came to be and how the Gods were formed. It also tells us of how the Settling of the Human Race in Skitsojd. Many of the events that happen in this book have some basis in reality. For example: "The world was made when the great blast happen by the gods" This could be a reference to the Big Bang Theory. There is also a series of ideas of how the Human Race came to be. At the top of the list is an Evolution like theory. It describes that humans came from some distant ancestoral creature. But many of these ideas have been turned around to signify something that holds true to the gods.

Places of Worship

Skitsoism is praticed in places called Kinks. They are very small in size. They are not designed for luxury or leisure. The entire service is called Tynas(Pro: Ti-nes), which usually lasts 30-45 Mins in length. They read from the Gynadab and then pray to one of the Gods. It is then usually followed by a short meal of bread and water mixed with wine. Once the meal is over the Tynas is concluded and everyone leaves. Tynas' usually happen every 2-3 weeks depending on the Lunar Calendar.

Holidays

• The Feast of Jadaia happens usually every 4 years on the harvest moon to signify their complete faith in her.
• The Feast of Scita happens on March 4th every year to signify the beginning of Basic Training for soldiers.
• The Feast of Krata usually happens on July 7th or 8th to Honor the Generals and Leaders of the Country.
• The Holy Feast of Veranas happens on November 31st to signify the Beginning of a New Year in the Religion.
• Feast of the New Year happens December 1st and is usually a time when people give gifts to each other to ring in the New Year.
• Feast of Lovers happens Febuary 17th and is a time when all the nation is racked in love. Group: Awwww!

Holy Symbols

This Symbol is of the Three Gods. Each with it's own Color. Jadaia is Orange. Scita is Grey. Krata is Black. Note that not one is larger then the others. They are all the same is size shape. Only color seperates them. These also happen to be the colors of the Skitsojd Flag.
