The Chicanada Football League is the domestic branch of the Chicanada Football Association. The CFL runs competitions between the various levels as well as manage national tournaments.

Previous Runs of the CFL
Premiership/Championships
From the CFA's founding in 1900 until 1926, Chicanada was organized into 1 or 2 national conferences. Minor league and semi-pro clubs played independently from the CFA.
The Grand Experiment - Two Leagues
In 1927 the CFA approved a spilt of the Old Premiership into the Liga Chicanada and the Chicanada Football Union. The two organizations, along with the independent Nationwide Conference, promoted more clubs into the league, moving from 30 teams in 1923 to 200 in the various divisions in 1931.
In 1931, Liga Chicanada was forced to close due to economic dificulty. The CFA interviened and helped the CFU purchase the organization and bring all the old clubs into one united organization - the CFL.
Current Format of the CFL
The CFL, as it exists in 1933, will consist of Nine Divisions:
- SuperCup, home of the top 12 teams in the nations
- League 1
- League 2
- League 3
- League 4
- League 5
- League 6
- League 7
- League 8
The 176 clubs currently in the CFA will be placed into divisions based off previous records as well as budget, allowing bigger clubs to compete at a higher level against teams with similar budgets and quality.
Promotion between the leagues will see:
- SuperCup: 2 teams will be relegated to League 1
- League 1: 2 teams will be promoted to SuperCup and 3 teams will be relegated to League 2
- League 2: 3 teams will be promoted to League 1 and 3 teams will be relegated to League 3
- League 3: 3 teams will be promoted to League 2 and 4 teams will be relegated to League 4
- League 4: 4 teams will be promoted to League 3 and 4 teams will be relegated to League 5
- League 5: 4 teams will be promoted to League 4 and 4 teams will be relegated to League 6
- League 6: 4 teams will be promoted to League 5 and 5 teams will be relegated to League 7
- League 7: 5 teams will be promoted to League 6 and 5 teams will be relegated to League 8
- League 8: 5 teams will be promoted to League 7
