The Ganchelkean Imperial Army (GIA) is the branch of the Ganchelkean Imperial Armed Forces that has primary responsibility for land-based military operations. The Ganchelkean Imperial Army is divided into the Regular Army and the National Reserve. The Regular Army is organised in three main branches: the Combat Arms, the Combat Support Arms and the Combat Service Support Arms.

The Combat Arms are organised as follows:

• Armoured Infantry

• Mechanised Infantry

• Light Infantry

• Air Assault Infantry

• Armoured Cavalry

• Light Cavalry

• Field Artillery

• Air Defence Artillery

• Strategic Missile Forces

• Rapid Deployment Forces

• Special Forces

The Combat Support Arms are organised as follows:

• Engineers Group

• Signal Group

• Reconnaissance Group

• Air Support Group

The Combat Service Support Arms are organised as follows:

• Army Communications Group

• Army Logistics Group

• Army Movement Control Group

• Army Medical Service

• Army Technical Engineers Group

• Army Training Group
