Antipater I. Theos Diogates Theus Donos Domnur Gaetes Gatakus Spartus was the first King of Moravia 389BC-340BC. He was the son of a Greek commander. After the Greeks took Moravia his family obtained influencial positions under the new regime.
Antipater assumed the position of governor in 390BC. In 389BC he proclaimed himself King. His rule was mostly nominal in seventy percent of his kingdom. He issued a first "stagunotos" (constitution) in 359BC.
He was unfamiliar with the local traditons, so he fell into a number of conflicts (the 1th Dřáč conflict of 370-369BC).
He maried two hundred and twenty five wives and is attributed some one hundred and eighty nine sons and thirty-nine daughters.
He constructed the Royal mausoleum in 375BC, in which he and future kings were entombed. He died in 340BC. He was succeeded by his oldest son Antipater II Theos Neos Thirugothos.
