Xanthal's national administrative Ministries are overseen by the Diho. These Ministries are tasked with seeing to the routine domestic operation of the Xanthalian government. While lawmaking and policy direction is attended to by the Ląnălfĭne [Triumvirs] and Ląnkąwnsle [Councilors], the Ministries carry out the everyday functions of the massive Xanthalian government guided by the direction of lawmakers. Each Ministry is headed by a Minister who holds authority over that Ministry’s operations and staff, and can exercise legal jurisdiction in their respective areas as allowed by the central government.

Ministry of Education

• Functions: The Ministry of Education operates Xanthalian schools. It tends to the employment of administrative, maintenance, teaching, support, and all other staff in its jurisdiction. It also handles curriculums, standards, and testing for students. The Ministry of Education has two levels of administration: national and provincial. The national ministry oversees the proper application of federal law and deals with large-scale planning and policy and is the hub for gathering data pertaining to staff and students. The provincial divisions see that provincial and local laws are properly enforced and oversee most substantive operations such as employment, enrollment, and supply distribution. The provincial divisions receive budgets based on their respective student populations from the national ministry.

Ministry of Information

• Functions: The primary function of the Ministry of Information is to gather all the data from the other ministries and Xanthal at large and store it in its massive archives. Perhaps as a natural extension of this duty, the Ministry of Information also operates the nation’s libraries and museums. Though individual agencies usually keep their own records, the Ministry of Information is where it all comes together. Many trillions of cubic meters and many millions of computers are occupied by the Ministry of Information in the storage of information and objects ranging from priceless to worthless, essential to inconsequential, public to secret. It’s is one of the largest databases in the known universe.

Ministry of Development

Mirfakan name: Kuskos Fąbrelăl

• Functions: If something in Xanthal requires construction and any significant amount of space, the Ministry of Development will probably be involved. The Ministry of Development handles land and space surveys throughout Xanthal, manages rural, suburban, and urban planning, as well as the design and construction of all public buildings. It has many divisions that handle individual areas and specialize in certain things, most of which are frequently working side by side. It is arguably the most organizationally complex of the ministries, but rarely runs into major operational problems, perhaps because its actual tasks tend to be quite straightforward. The Ministry of Development also works closely with the other ministries because they all require facilities to operate from and with. This dependence is heightened because the Ministry of Development also controls most public sector manufacturing.

Ministry of Science

• Functions: The Ministry of Science takes charge of publicly-sanctioned experimentation and research and is heavily involved in the development of new materials and technologies. Usually it operates to order, working on whatever projects the central government or other ministries commission it to, but the Ministry of Science does have its own budget so left-over funds are often channeled into independent studies. The Ministry of Science also frequently cooperates with the Ministry of Security on forensic investigations and with the executive branch of the Xanthalian government on exploratory endeavors, also dealing with environmental oversight.

Ministry of Security

Mirfakan name: Kuskos Hunăl

• Functions: The national intelligence agency (OŞGB) and national security agency (KGB) are operated under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Security, as well as all the assets they require. It manages the nation’s rehabilitation and execution centers. The Ministry of Security also acts as a sort of coordination agency for the various services under its control and works closely with the courts and judges of Xanthal to make the criminal justice system as efficient as possible. Most domestic criminal investigation and apprehension is within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Security, including all but the most serious intra- and inter-ministry issues, which are handled by the national Council.

Ministry of Economics

Mirfakan name: Kuskos Kwĭnoĭdlăl

• Functions: The Ministry of Economics is responsible for tracking the financial assets of individuals and businesses in Xanthal, and manages tax collection and auditing through its national and provincial branches. It not only makes certain that public money is being collected and used properly and that all the transactions within Xanthal fall within set legal boundaries, but also works alongside the Ministry of Security as a general oversight agency. The Ministry of Economics operates retail outlets in the public sector as well, primarily grocery stores. In addition to all of this, the Ministry of Economics also issues currency, determines foreign exchange rates and operates Xanthalian national banks, as well as dispensing welfare money for the unemployed.

Ministry of People

Mirfakan name: Kuskos Ląnyuăl

• Functions: The Ministry of People’s function is probably the broadest of all the Xanthalian Ministries. The Ministry of People picks up where the other ministries leave off, attending to the needs of society and individuals. The Ministry of People manages national agriculture and equal distribution of public goods and services. It conducts civil research to determine where it and the other ministries must invest resources, and monitors regional data to find problem areas. The Ministry of People also handles public relations and actually wields limited power of law in certain offices that handle legal procedures involving mutual consent such as civil unions, transfer of public and private property, and other such minor functions.

Ministry of Transportation

Mirfakan name: Kuskos Pəleăl

• Functions: The Ministry of Transportation handles nearly all cargo and passenger transportation in Xanthal as well as a small percentage of international transit, especially for diplomatic functions. Its monopoly on intra-national transportation is broken only by the more specialized vehicles used by other Ministries for their own purposes and private regional couriers. The Ministry of Transportation also facilitates all communications out of and within Xanthal, and sees to it that these as well as inbound communications are made available to the Ministry of Security. Because of its many functions, the Ministry of Transportation operates a fleet of planetary and space vehicles larger than any other in Xanthal.

Ministry of Health

Mirfakan name: Kuskos Ŧăsăl

• Functions: Non-criminal emergency response units, hospitals, and medical database retrieval systems of Xanthal are operated by the Ministry of Health.
