General Likulia Bolongo is a general from Haut-Zaïre, formerly a law professor at Kinshasa University. Like General Mahele, his popularity increased in the 1980s due to his professionalism. For a time, he was head of SNIP, until he was forced to retire in 1991 after allegedly plotting Mobutu's overthrow. He pursued business ventures for a time, but was called back into service during the Great Central African War. He currently commands the 1st Armored Brigade of the Zairian army.
