The name "Tapeworm" comes from a corruption of the syllables after a foreign investor heard the name mentioned quickly after seeing a white dangly thing hanging from a Kuruinin's hand in an attempted agreement. Mexican-Kuruinin trades have since recovered following the mistake, but the name sticks and was officially adopted in 1997.
