The CG-A1 is the Cairhienen Corporation's first Assault rifle design. It is a three stage gauss rifle, meaning it uses 3 electro magnets, perfectly timed, rather than explosives, to propel the projectile out of the barrel.

The A1 uses the same 5x25mm ammo of the P1, and can even use the same clips. The clip is placed on the top, and various types can be used, including the 14 round pistol magazine, the 30 round AR magazine, and the 100 round barrel magazine.

Despite the small caliber, the ammo is dense, and the gun provides a very high muzzle velocity, leading to a stopping power only slightly less than the .45 Desert Eagle.
