Highest Scoring Match
Strike FC met with Marine Coast United at The Shultis in one of the most memorable Stellar Division clashes of all time. Umberto Melli put Strike off to a dream start 3 minutes in after a cross from Emarka Laniora. Marine Coast faught back but it was Strike who scored again, the veteran Santo Kecker picking up Inaki Solers rebound after the winger saw his shot bounce off the crossbar. Just minutes later, the difference was 3 as Soler again provided the set up for the goal. Marine Coast were dealt a blow just before half time as young defender Petros Alfieri was sent off for violent conduct.
Marine would not give up though, Carmine Mbidzo rose higher than Michel Rousoi to power Jim Vella's free kick home to reduce the deficit. Two more Strike goals saw the home side get complacent at a deserved 5-1 advantage. However, Callum Banda had other ideas with his 80th minute strike. Marine Coast looked set to score a 3rd, when Inaki Soler intercepted and ran the distance of the field, outskilling Sibusisio Azaiez before scoring a highlight reel strike. Azaiez got his revenge in stoppage time, but his scrappy goal off Malovar Stokks corner kick was not enough to save Coast's blushes, Strike solidfying their place in the record books with the 6-3 victory.
