STferro is the publicly-owned [en:rail transport|railway] of Sober Thought, its only shareholders being the federal and most provincial governments.

Anglophones were prone to construe the name as "Sober Thought ferrous transit," not far off the mark, and francophones "Société des transports ferroviaires," also not far off the mark. And for the domestic cows freed in train accidents, it would be "Sober Thought ferral."
