The reign of Emperor Bron I was fraught with tragedy, first the newly crowned Emperor suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed on the left side of his body, his first wife had an affair (she was executed), his second wife died in childbirth, half of the city of Amberyl (modern day Rystal) burned to the ground, the Empire suffered from drought for 2 years, and towards the end of Bron's reign and life his General Menno took more and more inappropriate controls until finnally having the Emperor smothered in his sleep.

Then began the False Era when a man who was not descendant from the Prophet ruled the Empire.
