The Weaponized Electronic Suppression Transmitter v.5 (WEST-5) is a new addition to the Soviet Red Army, Revolutionary Armed Forces Abroad, and the Soviet militsiya. It is used as a nerve stapling device in order to suppress enemy forces without killing them.

The WEST-5 was tested and used in a mock conflict in the Mongolian SSR on October 6, 2005. As of yet, the WEST-5 has not seen actual conflict.
