Considering the growth of the IDU and the greater dynamics of the nations coming and going, I propose that only nations with a Wiki page are to be put on the list.

Region category

Seeing as there are several uncategorised yet IDU specific 'floaters', I've created a category for you. It's up to you what to stick in it: to add anything, use the syntax [[Category:IDU]] in the articles. Gruen2alk 15:15, 14 November 2005 (GMT)

Ceorana's changes 05:22, 25 November 2005

I know based on my experience with Ceorana that these changes were motivated by a sincere desire to improve the consistency of writing, maintain the appearance of NPOV and get rid of those pesky "yous." Nonetheless, to my eye and ear, the corrections seem to make the article less friendly and more passive. But frankly, I don't care; they stand, and you'll never see me start a revert war over such innocuous and wellintentioned collaboration. And how can I, who changed km sq to km2, complain?

I warn you -- not as a sensitive but out of compassion for your sanity -- not to try to make my American, British, Canadian and Australian spelling and idom agree because I have tried to do it to myself and failed miserably every time. Proofreaders and copy editors should never be allowed to read anything except those texts which were composed according to the rules (e.g., CP, AP, MLA) they are following because they will go bonkers spotting the consistent inconsistencies.

I once lost 10% on an assignment because my bibliography used italics rather than underscore as indicated in the MLA Handbook. I took the hit, never arguing, but for my own curiosity I flipped the handbook's bibliography and discovered its citations were in italics! Being the stubborn twit I was, I continued to submit them in italics and pay the penalty act rather than against the principles of typesetting in which I had been self-trained.

So dig in, drop by and add to the mix! I'm still thinking on the Prez FROG RP, and I hope to add a few bits soon.

I've had to do it again to catch more of the "you" and "yours": sorry, but encyclopedias are kind of passive by nature! ;) Ceo \ rant \ rave 02:34, 12 June 2006 (GMT)
