Council Member Elias

Elias:

Elias is the Council member for the Iris habitat. appointed by Iris herself, he works alongside the habitat to guide the population and also to engage in diplomatic missions to new systems. To most other civilisations, Elias is the inoffensive, benevelant face of Gentec.

Character

Elias is a curious character. Several hundred years old, he was alive when the last of the original Gentec survivors was in his final decades. Something about the old survivors tales sparked an almost obssesive curiosity in young, up and coming diplomat, and when he joined the Council representing Iris, he immediately led his people on a search for the long lost Sol system. After nearly a century of searching he has finally found it, and is mystified by the fact that it seems almost too much like his old mentor described it.

Description

Elias is ageless, his skin translucent with time but almost completely unlined, his body thin and frail looking, belying a suprising agility. His gaze is penetrating, burning with intelligence and the wisdom of ages, while a hint of rakish humour hovers at the corners of his mouth and glitters occasionally in his eyes. He typically wears his toga-like robes of office, deep indigo blue with a band of gold at the edges, and often walks barefoot. The casque he wears to mark him as Luminate is simple, made from metallic composite and dull with age.

Role

Elias' role as a council member is to provide the council with accurate information on foriegn peoples and their cultures, form foriegn policy and engage in diplomatic relations, and to aquire technologies and information useful to the Corperation. As the leader of Iris' population he is an intermediary between the Habitat and the Humans, and head of the Luminate cast on Iris.
