The Holy Empire of Dragun-topia is a huge, devout nation, notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 271 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Defence and Religion & Spirituality are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 82%, and even higher for the wealthy. A tiny private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Citizens are regularly found digging for treasure in their gardens, streakers swamp all public events in order to bare it all, breastfeeding mothers are replacing smokers to loiter outside the workplace, and scenic mountain valleys are flooded with water as damming projects get underway. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is moderate. Dragun-topia's national animal is the Flaming Liberal, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the AOL promotion CD-ROM.

Dragun-topia is ranked 2nd in the region and 5,003rd in the world for Most Devout Nations.


Paradiso of Inferno

Dragun-topia lies within the fiery borders of the Paradiso of Inferno. This region was founded by the Armed Republic of HellFire15 in late June of 2006. HellFire15, a UN member, became the first Delegate of Paradiso of Inferno. This nation has the highest population of all the nations in the region (15 so far).
