Dannistaan Aeronautical Industries, or DAI as it is know, is one of the largest employers in East Dannistaan. It is reknowned in Dannistaan and the UK for it's high quality manufacturing of aeronautical equipment, parts and complete aircraft.
History
DAI was formed from the mergers of the East Dannistaan Aeroplane Company and the Smiths Aircraft Systems Incorporated. Both dating back to the early 20th century. The workmanship of the two companies was especially appreciated in the days of the Second World War, where the aircraft factories would be used to manufacture replacement parts and fighters on a round the clock basis. It became famous for multiple upgrade projects undertaken for the British Govenrment.
Current Operations
Today DAI carries out work upgrading military aircraft for the Government. Some of the more sucessful upgrades include the F-104G Starfighter mid stage program and the F-4 Phantom II systems upgrades.
