Mpinga Kasenda (b. 1937) has been a prominent Zairian political figure for many years. He served as prime minister from July 6, 1977 until March 6, 1979 (he was the first prime minister in over 10 years, as the position had previously been abolished) and as foreign minister from 1993 through 1994. He currently serves as minister of interior.
