King of the Praetonians is a term used by historians to refer to someone who has been King of the landmass and people of people of Praetonia at some point in history. The title exists as a means of conglomerating the Kings of the Empire of Praetonia, the Kingdom of Praetonia, the Democratic Imperium of Praetonia and the Crown Commonwealth of Praetonia in discourse. As such, no Praetonian monarch has ever been referred to officially by the title. King Sarius I, for instance, is or has been the 1st King of the Crown Commonwealth of Praetonia and the 2nd King of the Democratic Imperium of Praetonia, but he is the 68th King to have reigned over the Praetonian landmass and people at some point in history, and is therefore referred to by historians as the 68th King of the Praetonians.
