Both the major economic power and the government of the Corporate Imperial States of Kooluk, Kooluk Corporation plays a part in every part of the lives of the citizens of the seventeen states of Kooluk.
The corporation itself, as a government, is run by a board of seventeen individuals, one from each state in Kooluk. The boardmember is appointed by the previous boardmember from their region, and serves until they are no longer capable of doing so, generally in their mid to late sixties; at this time, they select a successor from their own state, and the process is repeated.
The cheif executive officer of the company, effectively the leader of the nation, is elected from amongst this board by the boardmembers themselves through the process of a simple majority vote, with the definition of majority being 75%. The CEO then serves until such a time as he gives up his board seat, or until a majority of the board decides upon a new election. Generally however, when a CEO is finally selected, he remains in power until the end of his board term.
