The БКЧ-СУ (Бронированый Курьер Человека-Самоходная Установка) is a Czechalrussian Armored Personnel Carrier-Assault Gun.
History
The БКЧ-СУ is an assault gun which uses the hull of the БКЧ-1 APC and was the result of an military order for a assault gun capable of carrying a D-30 Howitzer. The БКЧ-СУ was designed by Czechalrus' Armoured Systems INC. The first production БКЧ-СУs were completed on March 10th 2007, for a total of 200 vehicles for testing.
The БКЧ-СУ did reasonably well in field trials, although the БКЧ-СУ suffered greatly from the recoil of the D-30 causing the coordinates having to readjusted after each firing of the main weapon. Production continues today and the БКЧ-СУ is expected to stay in service until 2015 a total of 1,500 БКЧ-СУs have been built to date.
Countries in Service
The БКЧ-СУ is currently in service with the Czechalrussian Armed forces and is produced under license in The United Socialist States of Wagdog.
