The St Samuel Cricket Council (SSCC) is the governing body of cricket in St Samuel. It was founded on the 3rd of March 1951. The SSCC is governed by representatives of the 40 St Samuel provincial teams and headed by the Management Council (with 10 members).

The SSCC is responsible for selecting the St Samuel national side and the runnning of the St Samuel Professional Cricket League.

St Samuel Provincial Cricket League

The St Samuel Provincial Cricket League is the main domestic competition in St Samuel. There are four divisions, consisting of 10 teams in each division.

History

The St Samuel Provincial Cricket League was founded on the 10th of May 1950 and the first season took place that year.

Competition Structure

The SSPCL format is a one-day, 50 overs format in which each team plays each other twice over the season. Matches are held every sunday and the league season runs from May to September. Teams receive 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 for a lose. At the end of the season the top two teams from B, C and D division get promoted and the bottom two teams from A,B and C division are relegated.
