Acronyms

AC = Aereo da Caccia (Fighter Aircraft), is the military aircraft designed primarily for attacking other aircraft, as opposed to a bomber, which is designed to attack ground targets, primarily by dropping bombs.

B = Bombardiere (Bomber), is aircraft used for heavy bombardments.

MR = Multi Ruolo (Multi Role), is a specially versatile type of fighter useable for different tasks.

R = Rapido (Rapid), is a specially type of fighter used for the missions of emergency or of immediate reply

I = Intercettore (Interceptor), is the pure fighter, with only task of hostile airplane bringing low.

SA = da Superiorità Aerea (Air Superiority), is a fighter planned with the specific purpose of to guarantee a technical superiority and performance in the aerial fight.

S = Stealth, with electronic countermeasures which covers a range of techniques in order to make the palne less visible to detection methods.

A = da Attacco (Fighter), is a fighter used for attach mattering objective of land or of sea.

RA = Ricognizione e Attacco (Reconnaissance and Fighter), is a fighter for reconnaissance and small attack

UCAV = Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle, called also combat drones, is the name of a new class of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles designed to deliver weapons (attack targets) with a great degree of autonomy.

X = Sperimentale (Experimental), is experimental prototype of fighter; it can be used in special cases but it is not in regular production.


AA AC4 Saetta MR

AA AC4 Saetta MR is the most versatile multi role fighter aircraft of Nasuti’s aviation force (Aviazione e Aereospazio). This is a new version of old AC4 Lampo MR.

The R (Rapid) version is characterized by a lighter armament, reduced versatility, only 1 man of crew, reduced avionics system (only full EM radar and advanced evading system) and powered engines (2x additional power supplies; maximum speed of Mach 3.2 at 20000 m). The fighters of this type have an always ready standard armament, for to guarantee an instantaneous time of reply to the attack. The version MR, instead, requires a certain time of armament that changes in function of the equipping.

AA AC5 Nibbio I is the oldest pure fighter of the fleet.

AA AC10 Gladio SA is the last model of project Gladio, developed specially to reach and to maintain in the time the technical superiority and performance in the aerial fight. The project has not subjected deep changes in the outside structure, because already from the version AC3 adopt all the better technologies today in use in the serial fighter. Mattering are the different advanced equipping today available on the AC10.

AA X83 Golem UCAV

AA X83 Golem is the first concrete experimental Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle of Nasuti. This aircraft would be able to fight via remote controll from Nasuti’s equiped bases. It also will be programmed with automatic strategies for defence and attack conduct without help from human controllers.

AA X94 Vittoria Oscura B UCAV

AA X94 Vittoria Oscura B UCAV is the idea of a new Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle used only for bombing. This aircraft would be able to operate virtually autonomously. It will be programmed with route and target details, and conduct the mission without help from human controllers. The main objective is the replacement of AA B17 Incubo Nascosto, upgrading its loading capacity an autonomy without human costs.
