Shakuras

The Theocracy of Rogue Protoss is a small, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 18 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

Geography

The country is landlocked, and somewhat hilly and rich in natural resources, such as coal, silver, and gold.

Templars of Shakuras is located in the Taijitu Region, and is entirely landlocked. It is composed of 4 provinces: Antoich, Asar, Ni Monn Adun and Scion. The region is quite cool for much of the year and snow is common, but there is a great deal of plant and animal life which thrives in the forests. The highest mountain in Shakuras is Mount Razjan, which is regarded almost religiously by many Templars.

History

The Shakurasan Templar nation was orginally a religous sect that went on purges of non believing peoples in the Middle Ages, eventually they had traveled to the hilly province of Shakuras at the time controlled by the Kingdom of Yuns(Naboo is fiction), they bought the land from them and procceded to kick out all the people previously living there, bascially living a vassal nation to the Naboo, however further and further on the Yuns, continually took right after right from the templars, until they were nothing more than slaves, in 1918 due to the War Of The Peoples, mounting dissension, formation of radical parties and the munting death toll led to the naboon civil war fought on three sides: The Workers Front: a colaition of communist, socialist and anarchist groups vowing to liberate the masses. the Royalist/Capitalist Front: the remainder of the army based in the nation, in addition to some paramilitary organiztions. The Templars: A Rebel faction dating from the First Templar Uprising, they silently increased, their influence to include their entire land as well as additional territory largely staying out of the war, and prolonging it as much as possible to ensure the complete destruction of the workers front and royalist factions economy. at present the civil war still continues, leaving the templar to take more and more land...

Politics

Main Article: Politics of Shakuras

The Shakurasan government is composed of the Prelate, who is the head of state, the Conclave, an executive body that holds last say over any major decisons, and the Kahlai Assembly, a political body that represents the working class.

The Conclave has 13 seats, each seat holder is appointed due to his expertise in running the country.

The Kahlai Assembly is composed of 350 seats. Their occupants are elected every four years. The majority leader in the Council is known as Foremen, and has a place on the Conclave.

citizenship is based on caste ranking which is divided into three diffrent castes, however everyone starts on the lowest rankings: The Kahlai are the Low class and are the Workers. after 15 years in faithful service they can start anew on the Templar Class or go up on the Kahlai Ranks The Templar are the Military and the Middle class, again after 20 years in faithful service they can start on the Judicator Csste or stay in the Templar Caste. The Judicator Caste are the Religous and Political leader, they have no limit to staying in power.

Culture

The Shakursan people have a rich cultural history. Even during the time of the Kingdom, the people always had a strong attachment to the hills which often came before their loyalty to the King. Mount Razjan in particular is a symbol of the nation and is viewed with great reverence as the site where the prophet Khas ascended to the Khala.

There is also a strong family culture, in which elderly relatives and ancestors are treated with great respect. Arranged marriages are not uncommon even in urban areas. Families keep contact with one another across great distances, and this culture has a place in politics as well.

Relgion is very much encouraged, There are Jewish, Muslim and Buddhist populations as well, and since the fall of the kingdom the old, traditional beliefs of the Shakurasan people have returned to fashion –The Khala (usually translated the Warriors Path) is becoming increasingly popular.

In addition, however, Prelate Zeartul is revered by a large percentage of the population as a saviour of the nation. Copies of the two books he wrote before the revolution exist in most Shakurasan households, as well as his book on the war itself.
