Bengali is a widely spoken language in Navi Bharat. It is the official language of most sects of Vedanta Hinduism, and is spoken widely by both Bengali and non-Bengali members of this religious organization. Many Bengalis are in high political offices, particularly in th Senate of the People, and thus Bengali has gained a reputation as a very politically active language.
