Johannes Gustov [pronounced Goo-stawf] (February 2, 1400-June 12, 1467) was an influential composer and pianist from modern-day Rammsteinburg. His work still remains popular today. As well, Gustov was a philosopher, author, educator, and aid to King Vladimir VI.

Gustovianism

Other than his music, Gustov is best known for the political theory known as Gustovianism. According to Gustovianism, because flaws in human nature make it impossible for there to be a worldwide peaceful anarchy, a government is necessary. As well, it states that government should be "für die Leute" (for the people), which is Rammsteinburg's national motto. Gustovianism says that all government actions should be done to benefit the people, not the greed of select individuals, and that the protection of civil rights is vital. Gustovianism also favours a republic over a pure democracy, because in a pure democracy, "the majourity has the authority to opress the minority."

In 1960, the Gustovian Party was founded based on the ideas of Gustovianism.

Gustov's Prediction

In one of his books, Gustov predicted that one day monarchy will fall and a republic will arise. His prediction came true.
