The code .mpv is the Top Level Domain (or TLD) for websites within McPsychoville, and is preceded by '.ahp', the code for the Alliance of Honourable Peoples. Unlike most of the nation's media, Internet usage is monitored - the Bill for this act was passed in 2004 by a vote of 61-58 (which also made it the most hotly-contested Bill in McPsychovillian history) - as the Internet is, in the words of MP Brian Nash, 'a far more dangerous forum than anything in our past, for revolutionaries and terrorists alike'.
Of late, people have begun to complain about the excessive length of site addresses, which has, in turn, prompted some to query whether it's even necessary to contain the regional and national codes in the site names.
