.nwa

.nwa is the Internet TLD for the City of North-West Ariddia. It is used by private citizens, companies and the government alike.

North-West Ariddia has authorised its citizens to request use of the .ari or .swa domains, those of Ariddia and West Ariddia respectively. Although initially opposed to the idea, on the grounds that it appeared to undermine North-West Ariddian sovereignty by suggesting it was a part of one of the other two nations, the government finally agreed to it, on the basis of free speech. Any use of the .ari or .swa domains by North-West Ariddian citizens is subject to the laws, regulations and approval of those domains’ regulating bodies.

List of Major Second Level Domains

Second level TLDs may be combined. Hence some urls contain ".co.edu.nwa" (private universities or centres of advanced learning), ".mil.gouv.nwa", or ".cmt.org.nwa". Such usage has been authorised by North-West Ariddian Bureau of Trade. A humorous attempt by a citizen attempting to register a ".mil.co.nwa" address, as an ironic comment on the rise of the private sector in various aspects of North-West Ariddian public life, was turned down by the NWABT.
