.zr is the Internet TLD for the Republic of Zaire. It serves both private and public interests. Except for reserved names like .com.zr, .net.zr, .org.zr and others, any person in the world can register a .zr domain for a fee, much of the income from which goes to the government and people of the country. It is not a widely used top-level domain.
