The '''10M6 "Tomsk"''' battlefield simulator uses specialised grenades fired from the [[AGS-50]]. The grenades are essentially single-use UAVs: a very compact sensor suite is wrapped around a radio transmitter. At the peak of their trajectory (calculated by an internal computer that reads the inertia of the grenade), the grenades create a look-down image of the surrounding area. There are usually eight of these in a seperate belt that can be switched to from the generic FAE belt.
The EBTS system recreates the battlefield from BATtlefield (BAT) probes, fired from a 40mm grenade launcher on the turret. Information is displayed in a 270° screen in the commander's station.
