Eleventh North Ahjeezistan General Election, 30 October 2006
Party Leader Seats Gains Losses Net Gain/Loss Seats % Votes % Votes +/-
  Social Democratic Lord Hartley 90 0 23 - 23 41.3% 39% 233,040,611 - 21.7%
  Liberal Conservative Lord Hartpoole 74 12 0 + 12 33.9% 32% 191,212,809 + 25.4%
  Green Lord Hartley 32 7 0 + 7 14.7% 11% 65,729,403 + 28%
  Liberal Democratic Lord Rintiàr 22 4 0 + 4 10.1% 13% 77,680,203 + 15.8%

There were 597,540,029 valid votes cast.

The Social Democratic-Green alliance won 122 seats; the Liberal Conservatives won 74. The Liberal Democrats, who voted for a Liberal Conservative Prime Minister, won 22.

For the first time, the Liberal Democrats bested the Greens. The Social Democrats failed to win a majority of the seats in Parliament for the first time since Lord Morrissey's defeat. The election foreshadowed the by-elections, which saw massive losses for the left and the eventual loss of their majority without a general election.
