There were 655,486,031 valid votes cast.

The Liberal Conservative-Populist alliance won 125, the Social Democratic-Green alliance won 62. The Liberal Democrats, who voted for a Social Democratic Prime Minister, won 31.

This was the first time a party other than the Social Democrats had a majority of the seats in Parliament. It was also their worst result yet. In spite of the massive right-wing triumph, the combined left and right both captured 50% of the vote. The difference was that the left-wing vote was split between three parties and the right-wing vote between only two, one of which was small. The role of Lord Terresond's anti-corruption policies in the Liberal Conservatives' victory is greatly exaggerated. Indeed, rather than the new conservative realignment predicted by North Ahjeezistani and foreign intellectuals after the election, the very next one saw a new Social Democratic Prime Minster who would serve six terms, and be succeeded by a two-term Social Democrat. The North Ahjeezistani right remained insignificant until Lord Madingley's victory.
