There were 699,917,008 valid votes cast.
The Social Democratic-Liberal Democratic-Green alliance won 140 seats, the Liberal Conservative-Populist alliance won 77. The Republicans won one seat.
This election saw the rise of the coalition governments that would predominate until the 27th general election. The balance of power in Parliament was held by the Liberal Democrats, who voted with the Social Democrats. Rifts in the Liberal Conservative had become evident, it would not contest the next general election. Its moderate faction formed the Moderate Party of North Ahjeezistan and its conservative faction joined with the Populists to form the Popular Democratic Party of North Ahjeezistan.
