The 1st Armoured Division "Horugv Bearers" (Russian: 1ая Танковая Дивизия "Хоругвеносцы") is the main armored component of the Abt Republic Army and currently comprises the Division's Command and Support regiment, two ground assault brigades, one infantry brigade and one air brigade. The Ground Assault Brigades in the Abtian armed forces comprise the tank and mechanised infantry formations.
The "Horguv Bearers" are furthermore reinforced with the 1st Tank Regiment. The regiment is only half the strength of a ground assault brigade and includes two tank battalions and a self-propelled artillery battalion. The regiment's main task is to provide additional firepower during Division-level maneuvers or to reinforce a Brigade during operations.
The Division was created following the general reorganisation of the ARDF.
