The 1st Armoured Division "Horugv Bearers" (Russian: 1ая Танковая Дивизия "Хоругвеносцы") is the main armored component of the Abt Republic Army and currently comprises two ground assault brigades (which include tank and mechanised infantry battalions), one infantry brigade, one air brigade and an additional tank regiment. The 1st Tank Regiment does not include mechanised infantry, combat engineer and reconaissance units and is destined entirely to provide additional firepower during Division-level maneuvers or to provide heavy fire support to a Brigade if need be.
The Division was created following the general reorganisation of the ARDF.
