The 1st Fusiliers, as the name implies, was the first formed fusilier unit in the Sicinian Army. Using a lighter Saxe-Moira musket in place of the heavier and more powerful Howard & Bretonville pattern, the fusilier regiments were amde to be fast-moving light infantry.

The 1st Fusiliers, drawn from County Alphonse, earned its place in history during the Panselle War when the 1st Fusilier's Colonel, Guillaume d'Alembord, shot the panicking 2nd Shock Army commander Henri d'Marguier and rallied the routing 2nd Shock Army at Marbicourt. With the 2st Fusiliers in the lead the rallied 2nd Shock Army assaulted the Akaeian rear, saving the day.

Serving in a secondary role during the Three Day's War, the 1st Fusiliers and the Panselle Division of the 4th Shock Army were the vanguard of the Sicinian advance towards Ongro and at war's end could see the spires of Ongro's churches from where they stood.
