The 35th Foot is most famous regiment of the 3rd Shock Army, possibly the most famous in the People's Army entirely. One of the original regiments of the 3rd Shock Army, the 35th Foot performed well at its first battle during the Panselle War, Teur d'Montagne Rocheuse. However, it's crowning glory would come at Marbicourt, when it held held the pivotal overlook there against nine Akaeian attacks, holding firm in the face of vastly superior numbers. When the battle was done it was discovered that out of the 970 officers and enlisted men who had begun the battle, only 101 remained. For their actions the regimental commander was presented with the Croix de Michele and the regiment was therafter known as the Rock of Marbicourt.

The regiment served well during the Three Day's War and had the honor to be the first to enter Akaseia. The unit did not see much action during the Zagorlad War, but it took part in the battle of Beldorford Ridge. It originally recruited from the Maritime Counties, and has done so to this day.
