A light infantry regiment that is similar to its fellow voltigeur units in all but one way: these have horses. The 43rd Tirailleurs are mounted infantry, designed for long-range attacks and raids deep into the enemy's rear area. Unlike cavalry, they are well-equipped to fight on foot as well, and often prefer to do so, tying their horses up and then entering battle.
