The AR-13G Assault Rifle is a NS-unique assault rifle produced by Military Armament Company, Inc. in Asgarnieu for the Armed Forces of North African Union.
Body
The AR-13G is built upon the body of an M-16A4 Assault Rifle. The Reciever is modified to fire the 5.7x28mm Pistol/SMG cartridge.
Why 5.7x28mm?
The cartridge chosen is the 5.7x28mm. It was chosen for its ability to penetrate standard body armor at more than 300 feet. It is also cheap to purchase and is the same caliber as the North African Union Army's Standard Service Pistol (SSP). The round also comes in many varieties, thus making the weapon more useful.
