Overview
The nation of A Crazy Wacko Redhead is a dictatorship ruled by the Crazy Wacko Redhead who is now known only as Red. The nation technically uses medieval technology, however, many homes, buildings, and services operate on present or future tech. The government is dominated by businesses who bribe officials to see their way. The massive police force keeps a tight clamp on crime, unless bribed to do otherwise. The army of A Crazy Wacko Redhead is highly trained and regularly participates in 'exercises' in which Red invades another nation to stimulate business. A Crazy Wacko Redhead is a member of the Inquisitorial Triumverate. Corruption is so rampant that the May 8th, 2007 UN report on Corruption placed A Crazy Wacko Redhead as having the 20th highest corruption in the world, an achievement that Red is quite proud of.
History
A Crazy Wacko Redhead started late in the year 2004, although it's roots stretch back to late 2003. A Crazy Wacko Redhead started out of the ashes of the nation Oceanic Evil Wombats. Oceanic Evil Wombats had horrified its people with the government's increasingly shocking genetic and technological experiments, which culminated in the creation of the Wild Blondes. Red saw an opportunity to oust the cruel dictatorship and in late 2003, started a cult that promoted the rejection of future technology and a return to past tech. After a year of campaigning and gaining support, he started a revolution, the Redheadian Revolution, against the government at the beginning of 2004, supported by the common people and funded by the businesses.
After several months of war, Red attacked the capital city, Wolonia, and killed the scientists in charge of the nation on April 19th, 2004. However, Red's movement quickly splintered into factions, as the different parts of the revolution disagreed on how to govern the nation. The matter rapidly dissolved into a massive civil war and Red went into hiding to avoid being killed by his former allies. For 6 months, the country was embroiled in a vicious civil war. During this time, Red covertly allied himself with the businesses and rebuilt his popular support.
In late October, Red came out from hiding and his forces struck against the rival factions of the nation. His opposition was quickly silenced and on November 5th, 2004, Red declared himself the Crazy Wacko Redhead of A Crazy Wacko Redhead. He fulfilled his earlier aims of creating a past tech nation when on January 1st, 2005, the country reverted to medieval technology. However, most buildings, homes, businesses and public services were left with their technologies intact, a tradition that has continued to this day. This has left an eclectic blend of technology from all ages in A Crazy Wacko Redhead. In addition, the government secretly kept Wombat's future technologies and used them in Red's secret police and for research of all sorts. Red quickly adapted an insane persona that allows him to play off the businesses and powerful people in his country. He built up the law enforcement, the defense, and the economy, which continues to give Red a strong popular support, as the law enforcement, the military, and the businesses are the main powers in A Crazy Wacko Redhead.
For the next 6 months, Red participated in several minor wars and continued building his economy. However, in May of 2005, The Flying Nation in the Sky, which Red was a part of, became embroiled in chaos. The nations of Octavius Paenite and Walther Atkinson had declared war on Rioki over issues such as UN membership. Rioki appealed to the UN to provide support, and recruited several small nations to assist him in his defense. Carefully considering the choice between the huge, but un-militaristic Rioki and his smaller allies, and the two large militaristic nations of Octavius and Walther, Red choose to ally himself with Octavius in Walther. Red's troops played a large, albeit, bloody role in the Riokian War, however, the war was abruptly ended due to withdrawal by the UN allies of Rioki and a treaty between all the involved nations in the FNS.
Since, Red has continually been engaged in minor wars, however, he greatly desires to have a major war so he can prove that the forces of A Crazy Wacko Redhead could have won the Riokian War without the treaty.
Government
Although Red is the sole power of the nation, much of the government is controlled by the businesses, who use bribery and other means to influence the officials. The government spends all of it's income on increasing military, the law force, and encouraged commerce. Red also amasses large amounts of money through through the bribes, which he uses to fund endeavors that he fears will be unpopular. The government claims to embrace past technology like the rest of the country, however, it is a poorly kept secret that they have little fidelity to this promise.
Economics
The economy is almost entirely unrestricted. Any and all business practices are legal, except for theft, murder, treason, and fraud. However, with proper application of bribery among other things, businesses are free to do anything they like. However, businesses that incur the wrath of Red for disrupting the economical environment or something of the sort often find that their deals are inexplicably canceled, their corporate rivals suddenly gain large amounts of funding, and their important employees tend to disappear in the night.
Law
The laws of A Crazy Wacko Redhead are quite strict and are enforced by a large, well-trained police force that uses past tech. Jails do not exist, because criminals are sold as slave labor for large corporations or conscripted into the army as a Mad Miner. However, as with many things in A Crazy Wacko Redhead, these issues can be avoided with the correct use of bribery. In addition, Red keeps a highly-disciplined secret police that uses future technology.
Defense
The military of A Crazy Wacko Redhead is officially a highly disciplined past tech army called the Redheadian Guard. Also, A Crazy Wacko Redhead also releases numbers of the vicious wild blondes who attack both friend and foe in the enemy territory. In addition, Red sends his police force through the streets and collects a massive number of conscripts who are armed with pickaxes and alcohol and released en masse in enemy lands as the Mad Miners in honor of a plucky band of drunken miners that played a pivotal role in the Redheadian Revolution. However, the true military power of A Crazy Wacko Redhead is its future tech mercenary forces that are recruited and run by the businesses of A Crazy Wacko Redhead.
Geography
A Crazy Wacko Redhead is a desolate nation, covered with urban jungles and towering mountains. The nation is highly urbanized and most of the land outside of the mountains is heavily occupied. However, one part of the nation remains in its natural state, the Jungle of Erdia, a somewhat small walled off plot of hills, plains, and jungles near the capital city Rojara. It is not urbanized because it is the last natural home of the wild blondes that were created by Evil Oceanic Wombats. Since it is suspected that wild blondes cannot mate, it is hypothesized that an autonomous factory remains underground in the center of the jungle and continues to create the wild blondes to this day.
