Aaron Matthew Thorne (born September 4, 1961) is the first current Chancellor of Billopesha, founding Leader of the Central Acumist Party, Mayor of Billopec, former Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Billopesha and founder of Acumism. His official residence is at the Old Lord's Palace, Billopec Hill, Billopec, BU3I 8JT. As the head of government, he is the leader of the Billopeshian Cabinet.

Thorne founded the Central Acumist Party in 2001 and became the first, and so far only, leader of the party. When the republican constitution was established, his party won a very successful victory in the 2005 general election where the party won a large majority of the Billopeshian Senate seats. He was elected in the middle of the Billopeshian Civil War and failed to restore peace, which eventually lead to collapse of the republic and an end to his short term. Due to his popularity, he was appointed as the first Chancellor when the new monarchial constitution was established.

Other than being a leading politician, he is also well known as a philosopher who founded the belief of Acumism, which has since become very popular and is the foundation for the Central Acumist Party. He formulised the ideology and presented it publicly by creating the C.A.P. in 2001 where it rose rapidly in popularity and greatly influenced the structure of the Silvereye. Thorne was influential in the large reforms which took place in the Silvereye and the Silvereye Constitution. This lead him to win the OB (Order of the Billopeshians) in philosophy and politics in 2003 for making such a prominent impact.

Early Life

Thorne was born in 1961 in the Billopeshian city of Masilla. It was there that he received primary and secondary education before going to Darsonite College and Ruby University in Billopec. His parents were Jacob and Yosealine Thorne who brought him up as a Roman Catholic, having him baptised, and encouraged him to get involved in the church. Despite his parents influence, at the age of 15 he decided to reject the Catholic faith and began to formulise an ideology which would encompass all factors of life. He continued to add to his ideology and his interest got him a degree in Philosophy. After university, he began to publicise his ideas but not many people took any notice of him. He married a woman named Victoria Allen in 1986 and then released a book which focused on his belief of Acumism in 1989 but, again, his ideas were not recognised and the book lost him money due to lack of promotional advertising. It was not until 1993 when he began to attract attention from a number of intellectuals.

Rise of Popularity

In 1991, Thorne and his wife had a son who they named Daniel. In 1994, Thorne created the Acumist Society which quickly gained many followers. The society grew but Thorne realised that to make his ideology properly recognised, he would have to get it involved in politics. This, of course, was bound to be difficult as Billopesha was still a monarchy but as the country was a member of the Silvereye, any party of any nationality can be formed as a way of promoting different political ideologies. Although the parties cannot be voted in to rule Billopesha, they would have a say on politics. Thorne actually had no intention of ruling Billopesha and actually supported the monarchy as "currently well organised". With the creation of the Central Acumist Party in 2001, the ideology gained more popularity among the public. When the Political War began in 2004, Thorne was the only politician to stand on the fence but when the monarchy was eventually abolished, Thorne was eager to take a slice of the power. Now a candidate for presidency, he led a successful campaign and the party gained large popularity. Thorne was praised as a good politician and his personally was favoured to other politicians. Finally, in the 2005 general election in September, his party won a large majority of the votes and the seats in the senate. Aaron Thorne became the only short-lived Prime Minister of Billopesha before the republic collapsed. He was later appointed by Grand Lord Richard VI and approved by the Senate as th first Chancellor of Billopesha.
