Government
The government of the Republic of Accelerus is made up of three entities, the Magisterium, the Regency, and the Great Council. The Magisterium handles the occasional judicial matters that arise, and it is comprised of a group of Magistrates, experts in the law. The Regency is the handler of executive matters, and is comprised of the Regent (currently Hellar Gray, Lord of House Accelerus) and his staff. The Great Council is a group of the best and brightest among the people of Accelerus, and they serve as advisors to the Regency and Magisterium, making policy and protocol recommendations.
Origins
Accelerus came into existence as the result of an accident involving research into tempo-dimensional anomalies, a pet accelerus rapidamus, a philosophical text, and an uptight prude. As this accident occured in HotRodia, the Modified Acceleration Engine does feel some responsibility for the existence of the Republic.
